Spent a long 3 day fall weekend on 9/13-16/24. 70th Birthday celebration. Fabulous fall weather and otters and osprey and eagles and rising fish fish on a beautiful peaceful Williamson River. We stayed at the guest cabin right on it. Very quiet and peaceful and great hosts and owners. I took 4 hour drift boat fishing ride. Hooked 11 fish and landed 8. 5 fish were over 22 inches. Lost 3 more. Best fish were 24, 25 and 26 inches and the biggest was a 30+ inch 12+lb Redband Buck that took 10 minutes to land. Considered a monster for that river. Guide Ryan Keelin was great. Thanks so much, George Lundquist and Annie Burke!

For years, my wife and I wanted to kayak together but the circumstances never quite came together until our stay at the Lonesome Duck. With Steve's help, we were paddling away on the tranquil Williamson River in to time. And ... we could have paddled right to our riverfront accommodations. Amazing place, and I don't use that word without due consideration!

We truly enjoyed our late-June stay at Lonesome Duck. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It featured 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in one room and a queen bed in the second. The porch looks out over the yard and to the Williamson River. There’s even a second screened-in porch to enjoy if the bugs are out. The claw foot tub/shower was fun to use, and the kitchen was well equipped. The only downsides were the water and traffic sounds. The water tasted very minerally. They provided a filtered water pitcher in the refrigerator which worked pretty well, but I still drank mostly bottled water. You can also hear the Hwy from your porch, even though it’s a wats away. We live on a quiet lake, so we probably noticed this more than most other people would. The hosts were very nice and answered all our questions and tried hard to make us feel at home. We also did a guided fishing trip in the Williamson River. I caught a beautiful 18” trout along with several others throughout the day. The guide didn’t pay as much attention to getting fish for my wife as I would have liked though. The nice part is that at the end of the trip you pull up to the front of your cabin and just walk across the yard to your home. Overall a great experience in a wonderful place. Hope to go back some day.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I've never had such a peaceful stay. Saw otters, beavers, and a numerous variety of birds. Debbie, Amanda, and Mark were such wonderfully kind people who made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. I would definitely recommend staying here. We stayed in the log home. It was clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Just bring your own shampoo/conditioner. They do provide a bar of soap for each of the two bathrooms. There's no tv so you'll have to be one with nature. It's really quite lovely. If you're considering staying here, do it! You're going to love it!
